About Our Mission

Building Confidence, One Voice at a Time

Every child deserves to be heard and understood.

At Effectively Speaking, we help children ages 7–12 develop essential communication skills that build confidence, clarity, and connection.

After decades of teaching speech, drama, and communication skills, I’ve seen firsthand how transformative these tools can be, not just for school presentations, but for lifelong success.

When traditional resources fell short, I created my own structured programs, adapted from professional communication training, to meet the unique needs of young learners.

Today, those programs are available online, making it easier than ever for parents and caregivers to nurture their child’s voice at home.

About Sheena White

Meet Sheena White, Founder of Effectively Speaking

As a qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Associate and Licentiate Diplomas in Speech and Drama from Trinity College London, communication has been at the heart of my career for over 30 years.

Throughout my journey, I’ve helped thousands of students, from preschoolers to university graduates, develop strong speaking skills that have served them in school, careers, and life.

My passion is simple:
Helping young people find their voice, express their ideas clearly, and build the confidence they need to succeed.

When I’m not creating new resources for Effectively Speaking, you’ll find me exploring how voice, language, and presentation impact the way we connect and communicate.
